I trained as an actor at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and have since worked as an actor, director and teacher.
Alongside teaching in drama schools, teaching LAMDA and Trinity acting exams, I have worked extensively as an actor on stage and screen.
I have an enhanced DBS check and current chaperone licence.

David has taught extensively in schools and colleges.  He has to date, a 100% pass rate for all students across all grades in both LAMDA and Trinity with all students either achieving merit or distinction and some of the students having never taken an acting class before.

Youth 121’s and Group classes

I am passionate about helping children and adults alike to fulfil their potential.  I regularly teach children and offer 1-2-1 coaching and group classes for exam preparation, individual acting teaching and all areas of acting technique.   I offer regular classes at Beaconsfield High School in Buckinghamshire and also offer private tuition.  This includes individual students who require coaching for an acting exam or to prepare for auditions for professional work or entry into drama schools.  Please enquire if you would like to know more.

Youth workshops

Exciting and intensive week-long drama workshops for 13 to 18 year olds.  Participants work towards the staging of a play from the National Theatre Connections series.  Running since 1995, ‘Connections’ is the National Theatre’s annual youth theatre festival, commissioning brand new plays by inspiring writers for young people to perform.  A great opportunity to learn from a professional actor, the basics of how to rehearse and stage a play.  The emphasis will be on fun and creativity, developing and learning new skills and exploring exciting and interesting ways to create theatre!

Adult 121’s and Group classes

I offer help with presentation skills, public speaking, confidence and anxiety to teenagers and adults.  Many people feel anxious about certain situations, particularly if they involve public speaking or presenting.  Did you know that you already have the innate knowledge to develop a 'voice' of your own? Wether you simply want to practice a speech for an audition or presentation or wish to develop your confidence in general, I can help.

What people are saying

"David is an excellent teacher, he is enthusiastic, highly skilled and builds confidence in the pupils.  As well as being dedicated and reliable he really cares about those he teaches.  With us, he taught the students all aspects of Trinity grade 5 acting, with some of them never having acted before and achieved a 100% pass rate all with either merit or distinction. Highly recommended!”
